Huntersville - Opportunity and History Abound

Serving as the gateway between Charlotte and the rest of the Lake Norman region, Huntersville is a great blend of urban and rural areas.  With easy access to both I77 and I485, the Huntersville area has seen tremendous growth in both residential, commercial, and retail development in recent years.

Home to Rural Hill, the Historic Latta Plantation, and a number of other historical properties, the area still retains a strong connection to its agricultural roots and mill town charm, even as modern development continues to redefine the community.

Every year, visitors from all over the south converge on the area as Huntersville plays host to the Carolina Renaissance Festival.  One of the largest such events in the south with a permanent location that operates for two months each fall.

There’s more to Huntersville than old world charm and historic properties.  Recently the Discovery Place KIDS opened a satellite location in Huntersville, giving kids a hands on way to experience science.  The area is home to both public and private golf courses.  Then of course there is Lake Norman and the boating and recreational opportunities available on its waters.
